Indiana Wind Symphony
The Indiana Wind Symphony is the first concert band in Indiana, and one of the few in the nation, to build its presence in a grand performing arts venue such as the Palladium. Growing acclaim for innovation and its excellence in performance the Indiana Wind Symphony lives by its mission to “present artistic performances of significant music for band and wind ensemble to the Central Indiana community”.
Music Director, Dr. Charles P. Conrad is the founder of the IWS since its inception in 1997. In addition to bringing music to the Hoosier state, Dr. Conrad has conducted ensembles in many other states and countries including Scotland, England, Germany, Bulgaria, Austria, Italy, Poland, Holland, France, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. A respected musicologist and author, he has presented lectures at music history and performance conferences in the United States, Germany, Slovakia, Italy, Austria and Luxemburg. In total IWS has 69 symphony members.
This show will be unlike any other and is a must see for attendees at the fair !
